Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys is an American R&B singer-songwriter, record producer, musician, and actress. She is often reguarded by fans and music critics as the "Princess of Soul".

In 2001, Alicia Keys released her debut album entitled Songs in A Minor, which was a commercial success, gargnering very positive reviews from music critics, and reaching number-one on the Billboard 200. The album spawned Keys' best-selling single to-date, "Fallin'", which reached number-one on the Hot 100, as well as "A Woman's Worth", which reached number-seven.

Since then, Keys released three studio albums; The Diary of Alicia Keys, As I Am and The Element of Freedom, all of which landed in the top-5 of the Billboard 200. As I Am brought forth yet another international hit single entitled "No One", which also reached numer-one on the Hot 100.

Keys is well-known for her accomplished piano playing, which she started learning at the age of 7. She manages to incorporate piano in most, if not all of her music, and usually accompanies herself during live performances.

Keys also has a career as an actress. Her earliest acting role was as Maria on The Cosby Show. In 2008, she landed a co-starring role as June Boatwright in The Secret Life of Bees.
